Window Tint Properties
Window tint film is typically made up from a number of layers. Each layer having a different job to do. Some cheaper window films have fewer layers and in turn don't have the lifespan of high grade window film. We only work with the best suppliers, using the highest grade of film available. Its because of this we can confidently offer a lifetime warranty.

What most tint shops won't tell you is normally its in the interests of the tint shop to use high grade material as its easier to work with. Some companies however still buy cheap to improve their bottom line. We see it as a false economy, as yes you will make more profit per job, but the likelihood of the customer needing to return is much higher, and often each job takes longer. So yes we pay more for our film, but we see it as saving time and money in the long run.

Q&A's
General
Q: How long will you need my car / vehicle for?
A: Every service on every car is different. We will advise you at time of enquiry or booking but some typical times can be found in the description of each service.

Q: Are you insured to work on and move my car?
A: Yes, we are fully insured to work on, store and drive ANY vehicle. This being said we never drive customers cars other than to pull them into our workshop.

Q: Will you drive my car?
A: No, other than to pull the vehicle into our workshop we will not drive it unless prearranged for a particular reason.

Q: Can I watch while my car is being worked on?
A: Yes and no. For security and insurance reasons you can not be in our workshop, its also distracting for the installer who we would prefer has their full attention on the job in hand. However we have our workshop CCTV cameras linked to a monitor in our waiting area so you can watch from there if you wish.

Q: What is the warranty period?
A: A lifetime warranty is given on all automotive window tinting. Other warranty periods may apply to other services, often material dependant.

Automotive Window Tinting
Q: Is window tinting legal?
A: Yes, tinting the back half of your car (B pillar back) is totally legal in any shade, however the front windows can not have a VTL of lower than 70% which all modern cars have from factory. A more in depth explanation can be found here.

Q: What advantages does window tinting have?
A: There are a range of advantages beyond cosmetic. Further examples can be found on our window tinting page here.

Q: My car already has privacy glass (factory fitted), can this be made darker?
A: Yes. Often factory privacy glass is quite light depending on manufacture, we can lay a film over this to make it darker.

Q: If i have my windows tinted, do i need to do anything to protect it?
A: The film we use is very durable and consists of scratch protection layers. However the glue can take up to 30 days to cure fully depending on weather conditions so we advise you to bare this is mind if cleaning the inside of the windows. If roll down windows are tinted we advise you to not roll them down for at least 4 days.

Q: Is window tint film visible?
A: No. We tint to the very edge of the glass, so it will look like factory tinted glass. Our methods for roll down windows do not leave a micro gap at the top of the glass like most tint shops.

Q: Will I be able to use my windows as normal?
A: As covered further up, we advise you do not roll the windows down for 4 days after having the film applied. If your car drops the window slightly for entry (pillar-less doors) you can still use your car as normal.

Q: Is the film applied to the inside or outside?
A: The film is applied to the inside of the glass. This means that you can still wash the car as you normally would.

Q: How long does the tint last?
A: Lifetime. Backed up with a lifetime warranty.

Q: My car has been tinted before, can this be removed?
A: Yes, we can remove old film or poorly fitted film. You have to keep in mind that when removing film it can cause damage to the heating elements on rear windows. We do everything possible to avoid this however this would be at your own risk.

Light Tinting
Q: Is tinting your lights legal?
A: Yes, the law for the rear and side marker lights is simply that they need to be visible. The headlights can not reduce the light by more than 50%, so along as you don't use a dark smoke on the headlights its totally legal.

Q: Can i remove the tint in the future if I want?
A: Yes, the tint film is fully removable. The lights will be protected by the film so they will be as good as new under the film.
